Wladimir Klitschko believes someone in Hayden Panettiere’s orbit sold some of her belongings to a pawn shop, and now he wants police to get involved. According to court documents, Klitschko says he believes “a non-family member previously connected to Hayden” pawned off items he thinks were jewelry. He says the pawn shop has declined to disclose specific item information without being contacted by law enforcement.

The Wladimir Klitschko Hayden Panettiere filing was submitted as part of his effort to be named guardian of Kaya, the daughter he shared with Panettiere. He noted that recovering Hayden’s property directly impacts her inheritance. Klitschko, who already has sole custody of Kaya, needs to be named guardian to assist her with the estate. He is specifically requesting that his appointment include the power to authorize a law enforcement investigation into the recovery of Hayden’s property, which he believes was misappropriated.

In his initial petition, Klitschko claimed jewelry was missing and unaccounted for, and alleged Hayden’s emails were accessed and destroyed. He also claimed some property was in law enforcement custody and other items were seized by federal agents. He said Hayden had hired a security company before her death over a “documented concern” that someone had gained unauthorized access to her home. The court has yet to rule. Hayden died on August 16 at 36 from a drug overdose.
