Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving her 16th career chart-topper and her 10th No. 1 debut, tying her with Drake for the most in the chart’s history. The song dethroned Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” which had spent a record 24 weeks at the top.
The Taylor Swift Patient Zero debut arrives with 34.5 million official streams, 28.5 million radio airplay impressions, and 65,000 sold in the U.S. for the tracking week. The track is the lead single from The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, the deluxe edition of Swift’s 2025 album, which also sent “Cleveland!” and “Babylon” into the Hot 100’s top five.
Swift now ranks third all-time for most Hot 100 No. 1s, trailing only The Beatles (20) and Mariah Carey (19). She also becomes just the sixth act in the chart’s 68-year history to accumulate 50 total weeks at No. 1. Drake previously set the 10-debut record in May 2026 with “Janice STFU.”
