Gypsy Rose Blanchard says she believes her former fiancé and the father of her daughter, Ken Urker, died from an apparent overdose after an unidentified substance was reportedly found at the scene. She said she does not know what the substance was or whether the suspected overdose was accidental or intentional.
Gypsy said Ken did not have a drug problem and that she had never seen him use drugs or other substances. She remembered him as a responsible person who was committed to being a father and partner.
Ken was found dead inside a Louisiana home on what would have been his 34th birthday. His death remains under investigation. Gypsy and Ken first met through a prison pen-pal program, later became engaged, separated, and eventually rekindled their relationship after her release. They share a daughter, Aurora.
