The Gravity Falls spin-off rumors have been building for months. In August 2026, reports surfaced that two brand-new short films were in production, allegedly serving as an official mini-sequel and tied to a promotional campaign for a new art book created by series creator Alex Hirsch. While those reports were classified as unconfirmed rumors at the time, the launch of the new website has renewed speculation that something official is finally happening.
Adding to the mystery, Disney announced at D23 2026 that Gravity Falls: Lost Legends will arrive on WEBTOON in 2027, bringing four stories featuring Dipper, Mabel, Stan, Ford, and Pacifica to the digital comics platform. The comic was originally published in 2018 and is not a third season, but its arrival on a new platform suggests Disney is actively investing in the franchise. Meanwhile, The Art of Gravity Falls, a 252-page art book co-written by Hirsch and Rob Renzetti, is now available, featuring never-before-seen concept art and production materials. Fans have long hoped for a continuation, and Disney executive Meredith Roberts previously confirmed that conversations with Hirsch have taken place, saying, “Never say never”.
