Carrot Top is reportedly making progress in his recovery and has started communicating with his family after his recent hospitalization. A source close to the comedian said that the 61-year-old entertainer is now talking with his loved ones and doing better.
The update comes shortly after Carrot Top was reportedly released from the hospital and returned home. A source previously told PEOPLE that the comedian was “home with his family and doing well” after spending more than a week receiving medical care following his September 18 suicide attempt in Las Vegas.
According to a police report obtained, officers responding to the incident found Carrot Top unconscious near his backyard pool. A woman who went to check on him had reportedly found him awake but repeatedly losing consciousness and told emergency dispatchers that he was turning blue. Carrot Top is now continuing his recovery at home with his family.
