Macklemore is taking his message overseas. Two weeks after being removed from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour over his “Free Palestine” remarks, the rapper announced Thursday that he’s launching the Free Palestine Tour, with three dates confirmed: October 26 in Dublin, October 29 in Paris, and October 30 in London.
In the announcement, Macklemore wrote that the world is waking up to “Palestinian liberation.” He also appeared to take a swipe at Sheeran, writing: “It’s 2026. Being apolitical during a genocide doesn’t work anymore. People are asking artists to show up, educate themselves and be in community. To use the stage for more than entertainment. To push back when the call for a Free Palestine is met with attempts to silence it.” He added that coordinated attempts by billionaires to silence speech are dangerous.
Macklemore said he’s been reaching out to artists who have used their stages in solidarity with Palestinians, and while there are still details to work out, the tour is confirmed. U.S. dates are reportedly in the works, though he made clear they won’t be at Robert Kraft’s Gillette Stadium. Presale tickets go on sale Monday, with general sale starting Wednesday. All proceeds will benefit organizations supporting the Palestinian people and movement.
