Lenny Kravitz is celebrating 65 years of Ken in style. Mattel has tapped the Grammy-winning rock icon as its second-ever Kenbassador, following LeBron James, who became the first in 2025. The honor comes as Barbie commemorates Ken’s 65th anniversary, recognizing influential male figures who have shaped culture. “Barbie is an institution, and as a kid growing up, I could not have imagined this,” Kravitz said. “To be chosen by Mattel as a Kenbassador, only the second one in history, is an honor and absolutely surreal”.
The Lenny Kravitz Kenbassador doll is inspired by his Blue Electric Light Tour wardrobe, featuring a bronze mesh cowl-neck tank, bootcut jeans, a studded belt, boots, and oversized sunglasses. The doll also includes his trademark locs, nose ring, and detailed recreations of his tattoos, including a portrait of his late mother, Roxie Roker, on his forearm. The accessories replicate pieces Kravitz actually wore on tour, including vintage sunglasses from the late 1960s and a necklace that belonged to his mother.
The $70 collectible doll is available now online through Mattel Creations and major retailers. Kravitz’s collaboration with Mattel will benefit his non-profit organization, the Let Love Rule Foundation, which focuses on providing medical care, disaster relief, and food assistance. Like the LeBron James doll before it, the Lenny Kravitz Kenbassador is expected to sell out quickly . Kravitz said he plans to send one to his daughter, Zoë Kravitz. “It’s going to be fun for her to see that, I bet”.
