NeNe Leakes Says Kim Zolciak Is Not Okay Amid Son’s Sex Crime Allegations

NeNe Leakes says Kim Zolciak is struggling. During an appearance on the “Big Tigger Morning Show” Friday, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum revealed she recently reached out to her former castmate to check on her amid Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr.’s legal troubles. “I know that’s a tough time and I know she’s not okay,” NeNe said, adding that she wanted to make sure Kim was holding up. The two famously feuded during their RHOA days but have been on good terms in recent years.

The NeNe Leakes Kim Zolciak son update comes as KJ, 15, was granted a $200,000 bond Friday after a contentious hearing in Fulton County Superior Court. The judge ruled he must stay at his mother’s home, wear a GPS monitor, attend school virtually, and have no contact with anyone under 16 or the alleged victim. Prosecutors revealed during the hearing that investigators allegedly found multiple videos on KJ’s phone depicting him having penetrative sex with a family member under 12, allegations his attorney called “grossly” misrepresented and stemming from “inappropriate, crude behavior involving two middle-schoolers”.

KJ faces seven felony charges including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and false imprisonment stemming from an April incident with a female classmate at a gym. He has been held at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center since his August arrest. NeNe, meanwhile, emphasized she remains on speaking terms with many former cast members, saying Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, and Cynthia Bailey would all answer if she called.
