Former Survivor Greece contestant Stavros Floros has filed a massive $100 million lawsuit against the reality show’s producers following a catastrophic on-set accident that resulted in his left leg being severed above the knee.
According to court documents filed in Miami, the 22-year-old reality star was spearfishing for food in open waters near Bayahibe, Dominican Republic, on May 11, 2026, when he was struck by the propeller of a passing tourist boat.
Allegations of Negligence: Floros’ legal team claims producers Acun Medya and SKAI TV required contestants to swim in heavily trafficked tourist waters without safety boats, spotters, or protected zones.
A Lifesaving Intervention: Floros stated his severed leg was lost to the ocean, and he survived only because a stranger on the tourist boat applied a tourniquet. He subsequently spent 61 days in a Miami hospital undergoing multiple surgeries.
Production company AcunMedya stated the accident occurred outside active filming, alleging Floros was spearfishing without a surface marker buoy. Following the incident, SKAI TV suspended the broadcast of Survivor Greece. Floros is seeking compensatory and punitive damages in excess of $100 million.
