Carla Jeffery’s family is pushing back against online speculation, denying rumors that she abused substances and emphasizing there was no foul play involved in her death at age 33.
The Disney Channel star, best known for playing Bree in the Z-O-M-B-I-E-S franchise, died in her California home on Tuesday, September 1. A family representative issued a clear statement: “she did not do drugs.” The family also confirmed there was no foul play and stated police are not investigating the death.
The official cause of death is still pending, as the family is awaiting autopsy results before releasing any further details. They have requested privacy during this difficult time to ensure any information shared is accurate.
Her passing was initially announced by her talent agency, Alexanders Talent Management, on Wednesday. They remembered her as a “beautiful, vibrant, and extremely talented woman” who had been part of their “family” for over 20 years. Her brother, Carlon Jeffery, also paid tribute to her online.
