According to a source close to the production, she felt her contribution to his life was overlooked, despite her decision to appear in his Netflix project for free. The source indicated Khloé expressed feeling “so dumb” for supporting him, given the way she was portrayed.

The tension between them stems from Odom’s narrative about their marriage. He had previously been accused by fans of being with Khloé “for the clout,” a claim he denied during a podcast appearance earlier this year. Odom’s Netflix documentary also delved into the darker periods of their marriage, including his struggles with addiction and infidelity.

Khloé’s response on The Girls taps into a long and painful history with Lamar Odom. She has previously opened up about finding him in bed with another woman and the toll his drug addiction took on their relationship. During that same podcast, she recalled being the one to help him following his near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel in 2015, a moment she felt showed her unwavering support.
