Over two decades after taking over the romantic comedy box office, Andie Anderson and Benjamin Barry may be returning to the big screen. Paramount Pictures has officially begun early development on a sequel to the 2003 hit How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days sequel Kate Hudson Matthew McConaughey project is currently in its initial stages. Hudson is officially aboard as a producer alongside Stacey Sher (Pulp Fiction, Erin Brockovich) under her Shiny Penny banner. While a script is actively being developed, Paramount is aiming to reunite original co-stars Hudson and Matthew McConaughey to reprise their iconic roles.
“I think we’re both totally open; all that matters would be the script and if Matthew and I were into the script.” Kate Hudson
The decision comes amid a major surge in early-2000s nostalgia-driven legacy sequels. Grossing over $177 million worldwide against a $50 million budget, the original film remains a cultural mainstay. Though no director or official release date has been set, fans are already eagerly anticipating the return of the iconic yellow silk gown and love fern dynamic.
