Angel Reese delivered a performance for the history books on Thursday night. The Atlanta Dream forward put together a stat line so rare that it now places her alongside some of the NBA’s greatest players.
Facing the Los Angeles Sparks, Reese finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists while shooting a perfect 9-for-9 from the field, including 2-for-2 from three-point range. She nearly recorded a triple-double in a dominant 124-88 victory that set a franchise record for points in a single game.
“I was just in the mode. I mean, when you see the ball go through the net, you just continue to shoot it,” Reese said after the game.
Her stat line made Reese the first player in WNBA history to record at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists on 100% shooting from the field.
She also became only the third player in WNBA history with a 20-point double-double on 100% shooting, joining an exclusive club. In the NBA, this feat has been achieved by all-time greats including Wilt Chamberlain, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nikola Jokic.
In addition to her scoring efficiency, Reese broke her own WNBA single-season record for offensive rebounds. Her second offensive rebound of the night was her 173rd of the season, surpassing the mark of 172 she set as a rookie in 2024. The win moves Atlanta to 23-13 on the season.
