Romanian-American actor Sebastian Stan was born on August 13, 1982, in Constanța, Romania. He later moved to the U.S. and studied acting at Rutgers’ Mason Gross School of the Arts.
Stan became globally recognized as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in films including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Thunderbolts*.
His acting range goes far beyond superhero movies. He earned praise for portraying Tommy Lee in Pam & Tommy and took on the challenging role of Donald Trump in The Apprentice.
In 2025, Stan won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for A Different Man. He also received a Golden Globe nomination for The Apprentice.
