Brooks Laich and Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir have officially tied the knot. The Canadian former professional ice hockey player, 43, and the Icelandic former CrossFit athlete, 33, said “I do” at their home in Idaho on Saturday, August 15.
The couple’s three-day celebration kicked off with a “vibrant and fun” welcome party on Friday, followed by a “timeless, elegant, classic” lakeside ceremony and reception on Saturday, and concluded with a ‘50s-themed beach brunch on Sunday. Of the 110 guests, the majority traveled from out of town, with Laich’s family coming from Canada and Davíðsdóttir’s family traveling from Iceland and London.
The couple, who got engaged in December 2024, always envisioned marrying on their scenic property overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene. Laich even took on the task of revamping the landscape to prepare for the big day.
The couple’s 10-month-old daughter, Emberly, played a special role in the ceremony. Laich carried her down the grass aisle lined with white florals, telling PEOPLE just days prior, “I’m going to take my sweet time with it and just show her to everybody and have her just touch everybody in the aisle”.
The couple also included their husky, Koda, in the celebration.
