Nearly three decades after rap pioneer Tupac Shakur was fatally shot in a Las Vegas drive-by shooting, court proceedings have officially commenced in Clark County, Nevada. Jury selection began Monday for 63-year-old Duane “Keffe D” Davis, the former gang leader charged with masterminding the 1996 ambush.
While prosecutors do not allege that Davis pulled the trigger himself, they aim to prove he served as the “shot caller” who procured the firearm and orchestrated the fatal attack following an altercation at the MGM Grand.
