Stripped Miss North Carolina Says She Was Targeted for Conservative Christian Views

The former Miss North Carolina USA 2026 says she was targeted for her beliefs. Brittany Boltinhouse sat down with Carolina Journal editor-in-chief Donna King in an interview published Friday, claiming she lost her crown because of her “political stance and belief system as a conservative Christian woman”.

“I believe and think I was stripped of my title because of my political stance and my belief system as a conservative Christian woman,” she said. The pageant queen noted she is a Mormon and added, “I’m proud of my standards. I’m a proud conservative woman, but a Christian woman. I’m a God-fearing woman”.

Boltinhouse did not address the resurfaced posts that allegedly included racist remarks shared between 2017 and 2019, the reason the Miss USA organization gave for stripping her title. She said she could not get into details due to a “confidentiality clause” but described the ordeal as a “blessing in disguise” and an “emotional rollercoaster”.

As we reported, Miss USA CEO Thom Brodeur announced Wednesday that Boltinhouse agreed to step down and that first runner-up Myla Hadley would assume the title. Brodeur said the organization “does not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia nor language that strips any person of their dignity”.
