Nicki Minaj has issued a bleak prediction for Dr. Anthony Fauci’s future, saying he will be eating from feeding tubes and losing the ability to speak. The rapper posted a lengthy message on X Friday, blaming the former White House COVID-19 response chief for the pain and suffering she believes he caused during the pandemic.
The social media tirade comes just days after Fauci appeared before a Republican-led Senate committee, where he repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment and declined to answer questions more than 100 times. Fauci, who received a preemptive pardon from former President Joe Biden, said he followed his attorneys’ advice because Sen. Rand Paul had an “obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution”.
In her post, Minaj wrote that “feeding tubes will be his portion” and that Fauci “will lose the ability to speak & then & only then will he feel the collective pain & long term ramifications he caused to new borns, young children who are still trying to become acclimated into society & schools, traumatized pregnant women who couldn’t even have family in the delivery rooms & visits”.
She said innocent people no longer trust the government because billions of dollars were stolen from taxpayers by “con artists”. Minaj also included an AI-generated image of Fauci dressed as a teeny bopper lying on a bed and writing in a diary, a reference to embarrassing diary passages released by Congress.
The feud between Minaj and Fauci dates back to 2021, when the rapper claimed her cousin’s friend in Trinidad became impotent after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Fauci publicly responded, saying, “There’s no evidence that it happens, nor is there any mechanistic reason to imagine that it would happen”. He added that Minaj should “be thinking twice about propagating information that really has no basis”.
Fauci’s recent Senate appearance has made him a target of renewed criticism. Sen. Paul, who chairs the committee, has vowed to hold a vote next week on whether to hold Fauci in contempt for his refusal to testify. Republicans have long accused Fauci of lying about the origins of the pandemic and mishandling the federal response, claims Fauci has called “preposterous”.
Minaj, who has described herself as President Trump’s “No. 1 fan” and fully embraced the MAGA movement, has repeatedly aligned herself with Trump’s criticism of Fauci.
