Taylor Frankie Paul is reportedly telling her exes “hell no” when it comes to their latest child custody proposals, which would grant her less than 50 percent parenting time with her children. Citing a source, the New York Post reports that the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star received two separate custody agreements from her children’s fathers, Dakota Mortensen and Tate Paul, with each man asking for 60 percent custody to Taylor’s 40 percent.
According to the source, Taylor rejected both proposals immediately, saying she will do what’s in the best interest of her kids and reportedly telling the men: “So now I’m suddenly capable of parenting 40% of the time? Couldn’t be more obvious what this is really about, and it isn’t the safety or well-being of our children”.
The source also told Page Six that Taylor believes her exes are now coordinating their legal efforts against her in an attempt to win primary custody. The insider claims Taylor is digging in for a long court battle and “can’t wait to witness them lose” in court. This follows an earlier report in July that Mortensen had hired the same legal team as Tate Paul, consolidating their representation in the custody battle.
Taylor was married to Tate from 2016 to 2022, and they share an 8-year-old daughter, Indy, and a 6-year-old son, Ocean. She dated Dakota from 2022 to 2026, and they share a 2-year-old son, Ever. In March, Dakota won full custody of Ever and was issued a protective order after several physical altercations with Taylor, who was also granted a protective order. In June, Tate filed for a temporary restraining order against Taylor and a petition seeking sole custody of their kids, though a judge reportedly denied the restraining order request.
The custody battle escalated further when Utah’s Division of Child and Family Services filed a petition asking a juvenile court to find that Taylor’s three children are “abused, neglected, or dependent”. Taylor’s attorney responded that she welcomes the oversight and remains committed to “normalizing custody”.
