The man accusing Stefon Diggs of sexual assault has been ordered to turn over his direct messages with the NFL star to Diggs’ legal team. According to court documents, Christopher Griffith has 14 days to produce his entire Instagram direct message history with Diggs, as well as all documents related to his travel to and from Maryland on the weekend of the alleged incident in May 2023.
Griffith must also hand over text exchanges between the two, plus any conversations he had about Diggs, along with flight arrangements, hotel records, and ride-share receipts. The judge denied Diggs’ request for sanctions.
Diggs originally sued Griffith for defamation, claiming the allegations ruined his reputation. Griffith countersued, alleging Diggs drugged and sexually assaulted him at the NFL star’s Maryland home in 2023. Griffith claimed Diggs exposed himself, made unwanted advances, and that a week later, Diggs’ brother Darez and others attacked him outside his Los Angeles apartment.
Darez Diggs later pleaded no contest to felony assault in that case. Diggs has consistently denied all allegations, with his attorney calling Griffith’s claims “misrepresentations and outright fabrications”.
The case is ongoing, and no court has ruled on the merits of either party’s claims . Discovery has been completed, and Diggs’ legal team intends to file a pretrial motion.
