Zendaya and Tom Holland touched down in Shanghai on Friday for the latest stop on their “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” press tour, and the actress once again delivered a masterclass in method dressing. The couple posed alongside a special poster created exclusively for the Chinese market as they celebrated the film’s highly anticipated release.
Zendaya continued her streak of arachnid-inspired fashion, wearing a striking black-and-white webbed gown. The look comes from the Versace Spring/Summer 2016 Haute Couture collection and features a dramatic leg slit alongside intricate black mesh cutouts and a subtle spider brooch at the waist.
Zendaya’s method dressing for the “Spider-Man” franchise has become a hallmark of the press tour, with the actress consistently nodding to the superhero theme. Her red carpet choices, curated with stylist Law Roach, have included spiderweb gowns and outfits echoing Spider-Man’s iconic red-and-blue suit.
The Shanghai premiere marks another stop in the global rollout of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” following earlier events in Rome and London. An exact date for Zendaya’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony has not yet been scheduled.
