Israeli-American reality TV star and businessman Yakir Levi died after falling from the 28th floor of the Acqualina Resort and Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, on Monday night. He was 45. Police responded shortly after 9:30 PM and pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities say Levi was alone at the time of the fall and do not suspect foul play, though the investigation remains ongoing.
Levi, who was born in Ramla, Israel, rose to fame on the Israeli Channel 13 docuseries The Americans, which follows Israeli expats building lives in the U.S. while staying connected to their homeland. His personal story was central to the show, he often spoke of arriving in America with just $300 and building a multimillion-dollar restoration business from scratch.
He is survived by his wife and three children. His sister shared an emotional tribute on Facebook, writing, “My dear precious brother. I entrust his soul to the Creator. May someone wake me up from this crazy nightmare.” His remains are expected to be returned to Israel for burial.
