Original Bravo personality Jeana Keough is facing a major health crisis after being diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. The heartbreaking news was made public by her daughter, Kara Bosworth, who revealed that what the family initially dismissed as a minor dental issue has spiraled into a serious, multi-week medical fight. The Jeana Keough tongue cancer diagnosis has prompted an immediate wave of support from the reality television community and fans worldwide as her children rally to support her intensive treatment plan.

The diagnosis came to light after the 70-year-old former Bravolebrity spent months dealing with a painful, persistent sore in her mouth. During a family visit to Florida a few months ago, Keough mentioned the uncomfortable spot to her daughter, assuming a tooth had simply been rubbing against the side of her tongue. Keough had even visited her dentist multiple times to have the tooth filed down in hopes of finding relief.

When the pain failed to subside, a formal medical biopsy was ordered, which unfortunately confirmed the presence of malignant tongue cancer. While the family initially hoped a singular surgery would resolve the issue, subsequent operations revealed that the illness had unfortunately spread to her lymph nodes, completely changing their tactical medical approach.

Keough has now entered her fifth consecutive week of an incredibly aggressive treatment regimen combining chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy. Bosworth shared that the clinical process has been physically brutal on the reality star, leaving her entirely exhausted and struggling with severe, ongoing daily pain.

The throat and mouth inflammation has made basic hydration and nutrition an immense struggle, leaving Keough heavily fatigued and fighting malnourishment. Because her long-term career in commission-based real estate requires constant verbal communication, her sudden inability to work has created a staggering, immediate financial burden on top of her staggering medical bills.

To help alleviate the pressure, her children have launched a public GoFundMe campaign to cover her mounting healthcare expenses and secure specialized home care. As one of the foundational women who helped launch the massive Real Housewives franchise back in 2006, Keough’s public battle has drawn a massive outpouring of love and financial contributions from the Bravo universe.
