Congratulations are in order for actress Paige Hurd and NBA forward Royce O’Neale, who have officially tied the knot. Hurd’s godmother, Tashera Simmons, shared glimpses of the couple’s special day. Hurd, known for her roles in Power Book II: Ghost and Everybody Hates Chris, and O’Neale, who plays for the Phoenix Suns, took their relationship to the next level after getting engaged earlier this year.
The couple’s love story began at the start of 2024. Hurd has shared that she had vowed to take a break from dating when she met O’Neale, but he eventually won her over. Their connection grew quickly, and by the end of the year, they knew they were meant for each other. O’Neale even admitted to having a lifelong crush on the actress, having grown up watching her on television.
O’Neale proposed on February 13 during a romantic getaway to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The intimate dinner at the Viceroy Riviera Maya featured rose petals and candlelight, with a slice of red velvet cake that had “Will You Marry Me?” written on the plate. The newlyweds have kept many details of their wedding private, but Simmons’s posts confirm the happy occasion. Fans and friends have flooded the couple with well-wishes as they begin their married life together.
