Award-winning Nigerian stage production Dear Kaffy: Diary of a Single Woman is set to make its highly anticipated London debut at the Shaw Theatre, running from August 7 to 9, 2026, with daily performances at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The production, from Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions (BAP Productions), one of Africa’s leading theatre and film companies, follows successful runs in Lagos and South Africa.

The play centers on Kikelomo Olota (Kike), a successful 35-year-old woman navigating the complexities of love, family expectations, self-discovery, and societal pressure in contemporary Lagos. Through moments of humor, heartbreak, music, and reflection, the story explores universal themes of identity, womanhood, and authenticity. While deeply rooted in Nigerian culture, the production resonates with audiences worldwide, particularly among the African diaspora.

BAP Productions has transformed Nigeria’s theatrical landscape with acclaimed productions including Saro the MusicalWakaa! The MusicalFela and the Kalakuta Queens, and Death and the King’s Horseman. The London presentation marks another milestone in the company’s international expansion. Founder and director Bolanle Austen-Peters described the production as “a story about self-worth, resilience and finding the courage to define your own path”.

The Shaw Theatre, located at 100–110 Euston Road, London NW1 2AJ, offers a 446-seat venue in the heart of the city. Tickets are available in three categories: Standard (£45), Premium (£70), and VIP (£100), with organizers advising early booking due to expected high demand
