Kehlani is sharing a major health update with fans, revealing that a recently discovered nasal issue has been the root cause of years of chronic illness, voice loss, and canceled performances. The singer-songwriter explained that doctors initially recommended septum surgery, but after getting a second opinion, she learned she actually needed a different nasal procedure. The diagnosis revealed her nasal cavities were nearly 100% obstructed, a condition she believes explains why she was constantly getting sick and losing her voice on the road.
In a candid message to fans, Kehlani opened up about the toll the obstruction has taken on her career, forcing her to cancel shows and meet-and-greets when her voice simply wouldn’t cooperate. Now recovering from surgery ahead of tour rehearsals, she’s looking ahead with optimism. Joking about the newfound potential of her fully functional nose, she quipped that she might finally be able to run a marathon, swim longer, and most importantly, hold a note for more than four seconds. The recovery process is expected to be complete by the time rehearsals begin, setting the stage for a much more reliable live show.
