Both women were photographed on July 3 leaving the Ritz-Carlton NoMad ahead of the star-studded Madison Square Garden ceremony, creating an unexpected fashion moment among the 1,000-plus guests.
The dress in question is a $795 Sau Lee creation featuring a fitted corset bodice with oversized magnolia blossoms and a draped chocolate brown silk skirt. Founded by Hong Kong-born designer Cheryl Leung, the label blends modern eveningwear with traditional Chinese design influences.
Anderson accessorized the look with lucite heels and a gold clutch, while Kruk paired hers with a mint green Lady Dior bag. The accidental twinning became one of the weekend’s most talked-about moments, with fans speculating whether the dresses were actually bridesmaid looks.
Neither Swift nor Kelce had bridesmaids or groomsmen at their ceremony. According to a statement from the couple’s representatives, her brother Austin Swift stood as man of honor, while his brother Jason Kelce served as best man. Anderson’s appearance in the same gown as Kruk, who is engaged to Kelce’s former Chiefs teammate, appears to be pure coincidence.
Anderson has been Swift’s close friend since meeting at Hendersonville High School in Tennessee.
