Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw are reportedly slated to perform at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden next week. The A-list lineup is shaping up to be a once-in-a-lifetime concert, with Paul McCartney’s name also circulating as a potential third performer.
The performers make perfect sense given Swift’s history with both artists. Her debut single in 2006 was titled “Tim McGraw,” and the pair have remained close friends for nearly two decades, sharing the stage multiple times over the years.
As for Nicks, Swift may have dropped a major Easter egg when she wore a shirt reading “Stevie Knicks” to Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on June 10. The Fleetwood Mac icon and Swift famously performed together at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2010.
Sources indicate Paul McCartney’s name has also been floated as a potential performer. Swift and McCartney shared the stage at the “Saturday Night Live” 40th anniversary afterparty in February 2015. However, McCartney is reportedly in the UK at the moment.
The wedding celebration is expected to take place on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, with approximately 1,000 invited guests. City Hall confirmed a permit application was filed with the Street Activity Permit Office for July 2 to July 4, with 33rd Street blocked off. A separate permit for 100 people on July 2 is believed to be for the rehearsal dinner.
Reported attendees include Swift’s high school best friend Abigail Anderson, who is set to serve as maid of honor; the Haim sisters; Zoe Kravitz; Ed Sheeran; Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley; Mariska Hargitay; Cara Delevingne; Suki Waterhouse; Emma Stone; Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper; and Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.
On Kelce’s side, teammates Patrick Mahomes, head coach Andy Reid, George Kittle, and Kyle Juszczyk are expected to attend. The event is being described by insiders as “bigger than the Met Gala”.
The celebration will be held at one of New York City’s most iconic venues, chosen for its privacy features including underground parking and no windows that photographers can exploit. The NYPD has been briefed on security preparations for what will be one of the most anticipated celebrity events of the year.
