Tom Holland Reveals Dream Rom-Com With Wife Zendaya

Tom Holland has a new mission beyond saving the universe. The Spider-Man star revealed that one of his dream projects is a musical rom-com alongside his wife, Zendaya, marking a potential departure from the action and adventure genres that have defined their on-screen partnership.

“I think we would make an amazing rom-com together. That would be really fun,” Holland told Vanity Fair France during the Paris photocall for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. “A musical rom-com. She could do the singing and the dancing, and I would do some of the dancing. That would be fun!”

The couple has already shared the screen in four Spider-Man films and will reunite in Christopher Nolan’s epic The Odyssey, where Holland plays Telemachus and Zendaya portrays Athena. A musical rom-com would mark their first project outside the action and fantasy realms.

Holland’s vision would lean into Zendaya’s multi-talented abilities, with the actress handling the heavy lifting on vocals and choreography while he joins in on the dancing. The idea comes as the famously private couple are finally stepping into the spotlight together following recent reports of their marriage.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see the pair on screen. Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters July 31, with The Odyssey arriving just two weeks earlier on July 17.

Holland has previously called Zendaya a professional “lifeline,” crediting their relationship for improving their on-screen work . The couple recently reworked a Spider-Man scene together, resulting in a sequence Holland says now “sings in the movie”.

For now, Holland’s dream of a musical rom-com has fans hoping Hollywood makes it happen
