It looks like Chris Brown will be spending the next month behind
bars. After the ‘Fine China’ singer was thrown out of rehab and jailed
on March 14, an L.A. judge on March 17 ordered Chris to remain in police
custody until his probation violation hearing on April 23.
An L.A. judge is cracking down on Chris Brown,
refusing to grant the singer his freedom after he was kicked out of
rehab for a second time and sent to jail on March 14. The judge was
especially worried about a shocking comment Chris made regarding guns
and knives during his latest stint in an anger management rehab
facility. Here’s what we know.
The judge had ordered Chris to stay in rehab while he determined
whether the singer had violated his probation in the 2009 Rihanna
assault case. So when Chris was thrown out of rehab for a second time on March 14, the fed up judge had Chris arrested almost immediately.
In a court hearing on March 17, the judge denied Chris’ request to be released from jail, saying the X
artist had an “inability to stay out of trouble.” The judge also said
that he was very concerned about a troubling statement Chris made in
rehab: “I am good at using guns and knives.” Yikes!
Chris will remain in jail until his probation violation hearing in
Los Angeles on April 23, which will take place after a D.C. jury decides
if the singer is guilty of assaulting a man in Washington, D.C. in October, 2013, TMZ reports.
If Chris is convicted of the D.C. assault, he could be sentenced to up
to four years in prison for violating his probation in the Rihanna case. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were made aware of a
warrant for the arrest of Suspect Chris Brown on Friday, March 14,
2014. At about 2:00PM, Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s deputies arrested
Suspect Brown for the warrant at a location he was staying at in the
city of Malibu. Mr. Brown was cooperative when taken into custody. He is
being held without bail at the Inmate Reception Center of the Los
Angeles County jail in downtown Los Angeles. The warrant was issued
related to assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats crimes
which occurred on February 7, 2009, in the City of Los Angeles. The
incidents were investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department and
prosecuted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The
warrant was issued for a probation violation related to his conviction.
Chris was thrown out of rehab after he reportedly violated three of
the facility’s policies, according to TMZ. He reportedly refused to
submit to a random drug test, he did not stay at least two feet away
from every woman in the facility, and he slammed rehab during a group
therapy session.
