Blueface Music Royalties Seized for Soulja Boy Baby Mama After Defamation Judgment

Blueface’s music income is no longer his own. A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has ordered the rapper’s ASCAP and BMI royalties to be redirected to Jackilyn Martinez, the mother of Soulja Boy’s child, after she won a default judgment in a defamation lawsuit. The Blueface royalties defamation judgment now funnels his streaming and performance earnings toward a remaining debt of $123,245.

The legal battle stems from a heated feud between Blueface and Soulja Boy. Martinez filed the lawsuit in 2023, claiming Blueface made false and defamatory statements about her on social media. Blueface did not respond to the lawsuit. That silence cost him.

During the height of the feud, Blueface escalated tensions with a series of inflammatory claims. He alleged that he had sex with Martinez the day before she and Soulja Boy hosted a baby shower. Then he went further: “Tell Soulja get a DNA test, that’s my child lil bro I’m the daddy now.”

Those posts became the centerpiece of the defamation case. Martinez argued that the statements were not only false but designed to humiliate her publicly. With Blueface failing to file a response, Judge Peter Hernandez entered a default judgment in her favor in April 2025.

The total judgment exceeded the remaining balance now being collected. Judge Hernandez granted Martinez’s request to garnish Blueface’s performance royalties from both ASCAP and BMI, the two major performing rights organizations that collect and distribute payments to songwriters and artists. Every time Blueface’s music streams on Spotify, plays on the radio, or performs live, a portion now goes to Martinez until the $123,245 debt is cleared.

The Blueface royalties defamation judgment represents an unusual but increasingly common legal tactic: going after passive income streams when bank accounts and property are harder to seize. For Blueface, whose hits include “Thotiana” and “Respect My Cryppin’,” the money keeps flowing, just not into his pocket.
