For the second time in weeks, an intruder has been arrested at Chris Brown’s property. A man was taken into custody Wednesday evening after allegedly hopping a fence at the singer’s Tarzana home and attempting to start a fire. The frightening incident unfolded just before 7 PM PT.
Law enforcement sources confirm that cops were called to Brown’s residence in the ritzy San Fernando Valley neighborhood. The suspect was first spotted at the gate attempting to gain entry. The person who called 911 reportedly told dispatchers they knew the individual and said he had been an ongoing problem.
The unidentified man did not stop at the gate. Sources claim he jumped over the fence and made it onto the property, where he then allegedly tried to start a fire. Someone inside the residence made contact with the intruder before police arrived. He was arrested for trespassing, and a trespass report was completed. NBC 4 Los Angeles was the first to report the news.
Brown was home at the time of the incident. Neither the singer nor any of his staff were injured. The suspect’s identity and motive remain under investigation.
This is not the first major incident at the property recently. Earlier this month, a security guard for Brown allegedly fired a CO2-style gun after an argument with a woman who, sources claim, ran over the guard’s foot with her car. Brown was home during that incident as well but had no involvement with the alleged shooting. He fervently denied anything happened.
The back-to-back security breaches raise serious questions about safety at the singer’s residence. For now, the latest trespasser is in custody, and investigators are working to determine whether he intended to harm the singer or simply made a terrifyingly dangerous choice. Either way, Brown’s home has become a target.
