The NBA forward is taking legal action. Miles Bridges, the Charlotte Hornets’ longest-tenured player, has been granted a temporary restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, Mychelle Johnson. A North Carolina judge signed off on the order, requiring Johnson to stay at least 500 yards away from Bridges, his home, and all Hornets facilities.
The judge also instructed Johnson not to harass Bridges or his current girlfriend, Shara, and to cease all alleged cyberstalking activities. The order comes after Bridges filed explosive court documents describing what he calls a campaign of terror.
The most alarming allegations center on a Hornets home game at the Spectrum Center. According to court records, Johnson allegedly “abandoned” her four children with a nanny before driving to the arena while intoxicated. Bridges claimed she rented a nearby hotel room, stationed an accomplice in the lobby, and then hid behind his parked car in the arena garage. Her alleged goal? To “tamper with its tires while he was on the court playing for the Charlotte Hornets” .
Bridges stated that his girlfriend, Shara, and their children were inside the arena at the time. He claimed Johnson “knew those children had ridden in that vehicle” and “did not care”.
The filing also detailed a disturbing online harassment pattern. Bridges alleged Johnson used a fake phone number to text him his own home address in an effort to frighten him. She then allegedly contacted his lawyer while pretending to be another woman claiming to be pregnant by Bridges. His legal team reportedly arranged a paternity test before discovering the claims were false.
Bridges did not hold back in his description of the situation. He called Johnson’s conduct “a deliberate campaign of terror by a mother who will abandon her own infant and children and stop at nothing to pursue her vendetta”. He also claimed she has threatened to leak nude photos of him online and tells their children that Bridges has no interest in seeing them, claims he insists are false.
Johnson has not publicly responded to the restraining order or the allegations . The legal battle adds another complicated chapter to a relationship that has already played out extensively in courtrooms and headlines.
