Kirsten Storms Hacking Claims Follow Ex-Husband’s Restraining Order

The General Hospital star mental health crisis has taken another unexpected turn. Actress Kirsten Storms told police her phone was hacked while she lived at a Tennessee apartment building, claiming emails were deleted and her Instagram became inaccessible when she connected to Wi-Fi. The Franklin Police Department is investigating.

This comes just weeks after her ex-husband, fellow soap actor Brandon Barash, was granted a temporary restraining order against her. A judge sided with Barash after he argued the actress had been suffering delusions and hallucinations throughout 2025, making her unable to properly care for their 12-year-old daughter. The court allowed Storms supervised visitation while the case remains under review.

Barash filed his initial petition in December 2025. In the documents, he detailed a troubling pattern stretching back to the previous spring. The General Hospital star mental health crisis allegedly began intensifying in May 2025, when Storms reportedly called him to say she was “experiencing delusions and hallucinations” and did not believe she should have their daughter for her parenting time.

She was placed on a psychiatric hold at a facility, with Barash’s current wife assisting in getting her admitted. Upon release, Storms allegedly acted as though nothing had happened. By November, she called Barash again, this time convinced someone was breaking into her apartment, moving her belongings, and putting items in her car just to “mess with her.”

Court filings also paint a picture of chronic housing struggles. Between September 2024 and June 2025, Storms reportedly had no permanent residence, bouncing between friends’ couches and hotels. During hotel stays, she frequently changed rooms out of fear that people were “following her and the child to her room.”

Her landlord eventually sued for eviction over past-due balances. Barash also alleged that mutual friends told him Storms had been abusing Adderall and possibly other substances, contributing to what he described as “repeated episodes of melting down, being triggered, and hearing things that weren’t there.”

Storms has faced genuine medical crises beyond the current allegations. In July 2025, she announced a leave of absence from General Hospital to undergo brain surgery after doctors discovered an aneurysm. She made her return to the soap in February 2026, appearing in a storyline where her character awoke from a coma.

The actress has played Maxie Jones on and off since 2005, appearing in more than 1,700 episodes. Barash has requested that the court order a full mental health evaluation for his ex-wife. Both parties are scheduled to appear before a judge later this week, where the restraining order will be reviewed for potential continuation or modification.
