The rap war is officially underway. Gucci Mane released a scathing diss track titled “Crash Dummy” on Friday, directly addressing the Pooh Shiesty kidnapping case that has shaken the hip-hop world. The track arrives just days after a federal judge denied bond for Shiesty, who faces life in prison for allegedly orchestrating an armed robbery against his own label boss.
Gucci Mane diss track “Crash Dummy” leaves no room for interpretation. Produced by longtime collaborator Zaytoven, the song finds Gucci recounting the January 10 incident at a Dallas recording studio.
“Tell the truth, you went out like a real crash dummy, and after all that, boy, you still signed to me,” Gucci raps.
He describes walking into what he believed was a business meeting, only to realize the danger. “I walk in the room, you can feel the pressure building. N***a dapped me up, whole time they plotting against me,” he continues.
Gucci also targets Shiesty’s co-defendant Big30 and Shiesty’s father, who is also charged. “You learn from ya daddy, so I guess that it’s hereditary. I’m that same n***a who put money on your commissary,” he raps, referencing his past support for the incarcerated rapper.
The Pooh Shiesty kidnapping allegations are staggering. Prosecutors say Shiesty, who was under home confinement for a previous conviction, used an AK-style pistol to force Gucci to sign a contract release at gunpoint. Eight others face charges, with convictions carrying potential life sentences.
Shiesty’s defense team has challenged the FBI’s investigation, noting the absence of key evidence. However, the judge found probable cause to keep Shiesty detained.
With Gucci Mane’s diss track now streaming, the public feud has officially begun. Shiesty remains behind bars awaiting trial. For Gucci, the message is clear: betrayal has a price, and he’s collecting in the booth.
