The singer is not backing down. Two months after walking the Grammy red carpet with an “ICE OUT” pin and winning her first two Grammys, Kehlani has returned with an even sharper message, this time aimed directly at employees of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
On Sunday, Kehlani took to Instagram Stories with a brief but devastatingly clear public service announcement. The target? Any ICE agent who might want a photo, a compliment, or even a conversation.
“Public service announcement,” the singer wrote. “Don’t ever fix your mouth to speak to me, or ask for a photo, or compliment me if you work for ICE. I’m dead to u. Don’t acknowledge me and delete all my music.”
The statement left no room for interpretation. For Kehlani, standing ten toes against ICE is not a phase or a publicity move. It is a hard boundary drawn in permanent ink.
Kehlani’s anti-ICE stance first became unmissable at the 2026 Grammy Awards in February. She arrived on the red carpet in a stunning black gown, but the real statement was small and pinned to her chest: an “ICE OUT” button.
When asked about it by Hollywood Unlocked, the singer did not soften the message. “It’s pretty straightforward,” she said. “I honestly wish it just said, ‘Fuck Ice,’ but I know we gotta have a little bit of couth on this carpet.”
Later that same night, history arrived. Kehlani won her first-ever Grammy Awards, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for the viral hit “Folded.” The acceptance speech became another platform.
“What I want to make sure to say is that everybody is so powerful in this room,” she said from the stage. “Together, we’re stronger in numbers to speak out against all the injustice going on in the world right now. I hope everybody is inspired to come together as a community of artists and speak out.”
Then she added three words that sealed the moment: “Fuck Ice.”
The April 5 Instagram statement is not a replacement for the Grammy speech. It is an escalation. A red carpet pin asks for attention. A PSA demands obedience. Kehlani is telling ICE employees directly: do not approach, do not engage, and delete her art from your playlists.
For fans, the message is clear. For the agency, the singer has made herself untouchable. And for anyone caught in the middle? Kehlani has already chosen her side.
