Arise, Sir David! Beckham Knighted at Windsor Castle
Former England football captain David Beckham was formally knighted by King Charles III at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old sports icon was recognized for his outstanding services to sport and charity. Beckham, who was joined by his wife, Victoria (now Lady Beckham), and his parents, called the moment the “proudest” of his life. He was awarded the prestigious title in the King’s Birthday Honours list earlier this year, recognizing his career and his extensive philanthropic work.
