Chris Hughes is opening up like never before about his blossoming romance with JoJo Siwa, calling the 22-year-old performer “the love of his life” in a heartfelt interview with E! News.

“We Sit and Do Nothing Together” — Chris on Falling in Love with JoJo

The Love Island UK alum, 32, got candid about his relationship with the Dance Moms star, revealing that their connection goes far beyond the glitz of fame.

“She’s literally the love of my life,” Chris gushed. “But she’s also my best friend. Like, we sit and do nothing together.”

The couple, who met and fell for each other on Season 24 of Celebrity Big Brother UK, share a close bond that feels natural and deeply personal — so much so that they only recently realized they’d never been on a proper first date.

Their “First Real Date” Came Late, But Was Worth the Wait

“We went up to Malibu for dinner, kind of a date night,” Chris recalled. “On the drive home, we parked and said to each other, ‘That was actually our first proper date.’”

Despite previously spending time with each other’s families and friends, it was their quiet night out—just the two of them—that felt like a real milestone.

“We spend so much time with each other, just us captivated in this little world in our living room,” he said. “But we actually went out and it didn’t hit us until we got home that that was our first proper date. So it was lovely.”

Chris’ Cosy Love Language: Tea and Netflix

As it turns out, the couple’s favourite way to connect is as low-key as it gets.

“My favourite activity with her is just lounging on the sofa with a cup of tea,” Chris smiled.

“That’s when we’re happiest.”

Nutri-Grain’s “Not Sorry” Campaign Hits Home

Chris also spoke about his new partnership with Nutri-Grain for their bold “Not Sorry” campaign, which highlights unapologetic authenticity among reality stars.

“It was a real pleasure to work with Nutri-Grain,” he said. “I’m very light-hearted. I have fun, say what I say, and I don’t really mix my words. I’m an open book.”

For him, the campaign echoed a core lesson from both reality TV and his relationship:

“We don’t like apologizing for certain things that we do—and we don’t feel like we should.”

What’s Next for JoJo & Chris?

With their relationship blossoming and their careers in full swing, the couple seems to be in a solid, grounded place — finding joy in the simple things and embracing life without apology.

And as fans keep their eyes on JoJo’s next move (including a new album and dance tour in the works), it’s clear Chris will be cheering her on from the couch, tea in hand.
