Billie Eilish is diving deep — and it’s not just into lyrics. The Grammy-winning star has just teased a major new collaboration with legendary filmmaker James Cameron, and it’s already sounding epic.
During her Happier Than Ever tour stop at Co-op Live in Manchester on Saturday (July 19), Billie broke the news to fans that the entire concert was being filmed for a secret 3D project with the Avatarand Titanic mastermind.
“So you may have noticed there’s like more cameras than usual,” Billie said mid-show.
“Basically, I can’t say much about it, but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with James Cameron.”
Yes, you read that right — James freaking Cameron. And it’s going to be in 3D, which basically guarantees that fans will be immersed in Billie’s world like never before.
Cameron himself was spotted in the crowd, soaking in the energy as Billie performed. The pop icon hinted that filming would continue over her remaining shows at the Manchester venue, and joked about repeating outfits to keep the footage consistent:
“I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.”
Billie x Ariana in the Works Too?
This isn’t Billie’s only potential team-up making headlines. Earlier this year, she and Ariana Grandesparked buzz during a Wicked promo event when they casually mentioned hitting the studio together.
During a Q&A in Los Angeles, Ariana told Billie:
“We do need to do that, though.”
And Billie was all in:
“I would love to do that.”
While that collab isn’t confirmed (yet), fans are already manifesting an Ari x Billie banger to match the magic of Billie’s work with Cameron.
Why This Collab Is a Big Deal
Pairing Billie Eilish’s hauntingly atmospheric sound with James Cameron’s futuristic visual geniussounds like the perfect storm for something cinematic, emotional, and totally unforgettable. Whether it’s a 3D concert film, a music-based documentary, or even a short film with original songs, one thing’s for sure — it’s going to be a pop-culture moment.
