18 July 2025 – Heavy metal fans, brace yourselves: Iron Maiden may be 50 years into their legendary career, but frontman Bruce Dickinson says the band is far from finished — in fact, they’re just getting started.

In a fan update shared on Iron Maiden’s official YouTube channel, the iconic 66-year-old vocalist gave an enthusiastic mid-tour reflection during the band’s Run For Your Lives World Tour, which marks their 50th anniversary. The milestone trek has already delivered unforgettable shows across Europe, including a historic homecoming concert at London Stadium in June.

“We are halfway through the tour,” Dickinson began. “First of all, I can’t even believe we’re halfway through the tour. That’s just ridiculous. It seems like we’re only just getting started. And, in fact, we are… but that’s another story for later. Yes. Spoiler alert.”

The cryptic tease has already set Maiden fans abuzz, suggesting the British rock legends may have more than just live shows planned—perhaps even new music or another project on the horizon.

London and Beyond

Dickinson was still riding high on the energy of the band’s June performance at West Ham United’s London Stadium, calling it a rare, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“London was just the show of a lifetime. And they don’t come along too often, moments like that,” he shared.

And it’s not just the diehard fanbase showing up. The band’s recent Eurockéennes Festivalappearance in Belfort, France surprised even their longtime manager Rod Smallwood, who noticed few Maiden shirts in the crowd—at first.

“That’s the whole point,” Bruce explained. “We had the whole festival up and everybody was loving it.”

The tour’s next stop? A scorching hot, sold-out show in Madrid, which Dickinson promised would be another unforgettable night.

What’s Next?

While Dickinson wouldn’t spill details, he hinted that there’s much more coming from Iron Maiden.

“We’ve got all these great shows ahead of us, and a lot more stuff ahead of us I can’t talk about,” he said with a grin. “Except if I did, they’d have to kill me.”

The Legacy Continues

With over 100 million albums sold, decades of legendary live shows, and generations of loyal fans, Iron Maiden have nothing left to prove—yet they’re still pushing forward. From packed stadiums to teasing new ventures, the band is proving that 50 years in, the beast still roars.

So if you thought Iron Maiden were nearing the end of their journey, Bruce Dickinson has one message: think again.
