Sugababes star Mutya Buena is set to enter the famous white tent for The Great Celebrity Bake Off, as part of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer charity special — and she’ll be judged by none other than Cherish Finden, who steps in to replace long-time judge Dame Prue Leith.
Mutya Swaps Pop Charts for Pastry Challenges
Mutya, known for her powerhouse vocals as a founding member of the Sugababes, will now be flexing her skills in the kitchen. Though she admits baking isn’t her strong suit, she’s excited to take part for a good cause.
“She doesn’t consider herself much of a baker, but it’s for charity,” a source told The Sun’s Bizarre column.
This isn’t Mutya’s first culinary TV appearance — fans may remember her stint on Celebrity MasterChef last year, where she struggled with a cheesecake but showed passion and promise in the kitchen.
Cherish Finden Replaces Dame Prue Leith
A major shake-up comes as Cherish Finden, known for her razor-sharp critique and flair on Bake Off: The Professionals, joins the Celebrity Bake Off panel. She will sit alongside fan-favorite Paul Hollywood, who’s returning for more firm-but-fair judging.
Cherish, celebrated for her precision and pastry expertise, brings a new dynamic to the tent. Her arrival follows Dame Prue Leith’s decision to step back from the charity edition after years of service.
Star-Studded Line-Up
Mutya won’t be alone under the tent’s pressure. She joins a growing list of celebrities confirmed or rumored for the 2025 edition:
• Vicky Pattison, former Geordie Shore star and Celebrity MasterChef runner-up
• Molly-Mae Hague, Love Island alum and influencer
• Ambika Mod, breakout star of One Day
• Jon Richardson, comedian and 8 Out of 10 Cats regular
• JoJo Siwa, fresh from Celebrity Big Brother USA
The show will once again be hosted by the hilarious duo Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond, bringing laughter, chaos, and sugar-fueled fun.
Coming Soon…
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer will air later this year on Channel 4. Expect burnt bottoms, soggy sponges, emotional showstoppers — and all for an incredible cause.
Can Mutya score a Hollywood handshake? Will Cherish bring the drama? One thing’s certain — this year’s Bake Off is looking like a recipe for irresistible TV.
