Ariana Grande is heading back to the big screen — and back into song — as she teams up with Josh Gad for the **animated musical adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ beloved book, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!.

A New Seussical Adventure

The project, announced by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, will bring Dr. Seuss’ 1990 classic to life in animated musical form. It’s also a reunion between Grande and her Wicked director, Jon M. Chu, who will co-direct alongside Jill Culton (Abominable).

Grande and Gad are set to lead the voice cast, though their specific roles remain under wraps for now. The plot is expected to center around the book’s central message — a whimsical journey through the ups and downs of life — expanded into a full-length musical feature.

The announcement came via a cheerful Instagram post from the studio on July 15, showing both stars in the recording studio.

“I love finding characters that make people feel seen and human. I’d love to continue on this road,”she told ScreenDaily.

In addition to Oh, The Places You’ll Go!, she’s also attached to the next Meet The Parents movie.

Josh Gad: From Olaf to Outer Space

Josh Gad, no stranger to voice work (Frozen’s Olaf), is also set to star in Amazon’s Spaceballs 2. With his signature warmth and comic timing, fans can expect him to bring both heart and humor to the Seussical world.

More Than Just a Children’s Book

Originally published in 1990, Oh, The Places You’ll Go! was the final book released in Dr. Seuss’ lifetime. It’s become a staple graduation gift, a symbol of optimism and adventure — making it a perfect fit for Chu’s emotionally rich, visually spectacular storytelling style.

With a powerhouse team behind it, this Seuss musical promises not just nostalgia but also a bold, modern reimagining. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the book, one thing’s clear:

You’re off to Great Places!

You’re off and away!

And in 2028 — we’re all going with you.
