Barack Obama’s VIP Tickets Top Beyoncé’s in Price — $2,400 for London Speaking Event

Barack Obama is set to headline a special event in London this September — and fans will need to dig deep into their wallets to see the former U.S. president up close.

The event, titled An Evening With President Barack Obama, will take place at London’s O2 Arena on September 24, followed by another in Dublin on September 26. According to The Standard, the most exclusive VIP package is priced at over $2,400 USD — more than double the cost of Beyoncé’s top-tier tickets during her recent UK tour.

So, what comes with a $2.4k ticket? Guests will receive premium front-row seating, a signed copy of Obama’s memoir A Promised Land, early venue access, VIP check-in, and a photo opportunity with the former president (pending security approval). The ticket also includes access to a private post-show club featuring live music and drinks. However, there’s a catch — the package is only sold in pairs, and solo fans can’t be matched with strangers to split the photo op.

For comparison, Beyoncé’s VIP tickets peaked around £860 (roughly $1,100 USD), offering perks like exclusive merchandise, lounge access, and priority entry. Beyoncé famously performed at Obama’s second inauguration in 2013, and now their names are once again drawing comparisons — this time in ticket prices.

Fans looking for a more luxurious experience can also opt for a $1,200 USD dining package, which includes a four-course meal at the upscale Gaucho steakhouse, champagne, prime seating within the first ten rows, a signed book, and post-show lounge access.

Other VIP packages start at $800 USD, while standard tickets — which will likely be more affordable — are expected to sell out quickly when they go on sale July 10. Organizers have also set aside 100 tickets in both cities for charitable causes.

While Obama’s upcoming shows are expected to be in high demand, it’s worth noting that Beyoncé discreetly donated unsold London tickets to food banks during her tour.

One thing is clear: whether it’s politics or pop, star power doesn’t come cheap.
