Pop star Olivia Rodrigo isn’t just hitting high notes — she’s raising the bar for artist care on tour. The Guts singer made headlines not only for her powerhouse performance closing this year’s Glastonbury Festival, but also for her behind-the-scenes generosity: she paid for free therapy for every member of her touring crew.
According to guitarist Daisy Spencer, Olivia and tour manager Marty Hom arranged accessible and ongoing therapy for all personnel on the Guts World Tour. And in an industry known for its mental health strain, Daisy called it “the coolest thing ever.”
“Olivia and Marty made therapy accessible and free for all the touring personnel. I’ve never had anything like that,” Daisy shared on The Stage Left podcast.
“Even during off time, we still had access to this resource. I utilised the crap out of that — once a week, once every other week… It reignited the importance of therapy to me.”
A New Kind of Rock Star Boss
Olivia didn’t just show empathy — she showed leadership. Touring life is notoriously demanding, and mental health support is rarely part of the package. But Daisy made it clear: this wasn’t just PR fluff.
“It’s not very heard of. She literally is the dreamiest boss of all time,” Daisy said. “She’s handled her rise to fame so gracefully and effortlessly — most people wouldn’t be able to.”
Sticky Toffee Pudding and English Boys
After melting hearts at Glastonbury — where she was joined by The Cure’s Robert Smith on stage — Olivia also gave fans a taste of her British obsessions.
“I love England so f***ing much,” she said, shouting out Marks & Spencer’s sweets and revealing she’d devoured three sticky toffee puddings during her Glastonbury stay.
Oh, and did we mention she’s dating British actor Louis Partridge?
“As luck would have it, I love English boys,” she told the cheering crowd.
