Nigerian singer and former Mavin Records star, Reekado Banks, just lit a fire under the music industry — and it’s got people talking.

In a recent explosive interview, the Easy (Jeje) crooner sent a clear warning to upcoming artists, telling them to watch out for a certain “demonic” music executive who has allegedly made a habit of exploiting young talents and sabotaging careers.

“There is one big man in the music industry who is demonic and taking advantage of young talents. I have worked with him before… Every artist this man has worked with always ends up in a mess,” Reekado said.

The kicker? He didn’t name names — and that’s got fans going wild with speculation.

“He Knows Himself”: Reekado Leaves Clues, But Fans Want Answers

Though Reekado refused to drop a name, he hinted that this mysterious executive is well-known in the industry — and very powerful. According to him, many artists who’ve worked with this man experienced career setbacks or personal turmoil.

“He knows himself,” Reekado emphasized, “It would be nice to educate young artists about him so they don’t get wrapped up in his mess.”

Social Media Reacts: “Hope Say No Be Don Jazzy Oh!”

It didn’t take long for the internet to catch fire. Fans flooded the comment sections with theories and finger-pointing. Many mentioned Don Jazzy, Reekado’s former boss, while others tossed in names like Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) and other top execs.

Here are some of the viral reactions:

  • @mohitolewis: “Hope say no be Don Jazzy oh”
  • @limitless0012: “Nah Don Jazzy”
  • @MC_banny: “Mention his name or get out of here”
  • @jettyroyal: “You won’t mention his name, but you want to educate young men to beware of him? It is well.”
  • @ovayioza: “Na why I like baba werey Portable, he go call you with his full chest.”

The Industry’s Dark Side?

This isn’t the first time Nigerian artists have hinted at the darker side of the music industry — stories of exploitation, bad contracts, and spiritual warfare have circulated for years. But Reekado’s choice of words — “demonic” — has many wondering if there’s more than just business at play.
