Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter may have been engaged to fiancé Oliver Piotrowski for four years now, but there’s still no wedding date in sight — and she’s not sweating it either.
The 37-year-old actress, who shares two children, Forest (2) and baby Peony (born December), recently got candid in an interview with The Mirror at the Pro Am Padel Tour launch event, where she opened up about her chaotic schedule, her laid-back approach to wedding planning, and the emotional rollercoaster of raising two young children.
“Four Years and Still No Wedding Date”
Jorgie first announced her engagement to real estate developer Oliver back in late 2021 with a glowing Instagram post showing off her diamond ring and a simple caption: “OMG.”
But fast-forward to 2025, and the couple still haven’t tied the knot — not because of any trouble, but mostly due to Jorgie’s hectic filming schedule with Hollyoaks.
“How long? Four years I think! I didn’t plan this,” she laughed.
“I’m stupid at planning, I’m a bad planner,” she admitted. “You can ask me now what day it is — I don’t know.”
She explained that working on Hollyoaks means she’s always on-call, including weekends, making it nearly impossible to coordinate something as major as a wedding. Jokingly, she added, “I’m waiting for the wedding to come to me. Maybe a padel wedding!”
Life in the Trenches: Mother of Two
Since their engagement, Jorgie and Oliver have built a tight-knit family. But while parenting looks dreamy on social media, the actress keeps it real when talking about the daily grind of motherhood.
“It’s hard. Nobody tells you that it’s the hardest thing in the world.”
She described life with a toddler and a newborn as “the trenches” — an honest and relatable term for many new parents.
“You’ve got a toddler that wants all your attention and a little baby that’s literally attached to you. That is another level of mum-ness.”
Jealousy and Joy: Forest Adjusting to Baby Peony
Jorgie also shared that the transition hasn’t been completely smooth, especially for her son Forest, who is still adjusting to having a sibling.
“There’s jealousy bits when the toddler is like, ‘You’re my mummy. Get off this one. Put her in the car seat!’”
Still, she sees the silver linings in the chaos and celebrates small victories.
“Every day you go, ‘Oh that’s a win, that’s brilliant, we’re out together in a pram, we did it.’ So it is going well.”
A Family First, Wedding Later
For now, it seems wedding bells can wait. Jorgie and Oliver are focused on navigating life as busy, loving parents — with laughter, love, and the occasional sleep-deprived milestone. Whether or not the wedding ever arrives with a flourish or “just comes to them,” Jorgie’s clearly right where she wants to be.
