SZA is officially stepping into the beauty game – and she’s doing it her own way.
The Grammy-winning songstress has launched her debut beauty brand, Not Beauty, with a first drop that’s as bold and intentional as she is: three versatile shades of lip gloss. Fans may recognize the glossy finishes – SZA’s been low-key teasing the products at major events, including her Super Bowl halftime cameo.
“I’m not a beauty maven, but I know lips,” she told Vogue. “I wanted to fill a need with something that works for me and that I use daily.”
Driven by passion, purpose, and a refusal to follow the celebrity beauty brand blueprint, SZA crafted Not Beauty to reflect authenticity over hype. The name itself, she explains, is a quiet rebellion.
“Don’t try to be these other brands. Don’t try to be anything,” she said. “My whole life is about being pressure-free but still trying your best – and that’s what Not is about.”
The glosses, formulated with high-quality ingredients, won’t be hitting shelves or Sephora just yet. For now, they’ll be exclusively available at pop-up activations on the Grand National Tour, SZA’s joint trek with Kendrick Lamar.
She made the big reveal on Instagram with a bold, all-caps announcement:
“YALL ASKED FOR THE LIP COMBO AND IT’S FINALLY HERE!!! … Available only at ‘NOT BEAUTY’ pop up activations on the GNX Tour!”

The Grand National Tour: What to Expect
Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s highly-anticipated Grand National Tour kicks off April 19 in Minneapolisand runs through June 18 in Landover, Maryland, with stops in major cities like Houston, Philly, San Fran, Vegas, and Chicago.
They’ll also hit Kendrick’s hometown of L.A. and SZA’s birthplace, St. Louis.
Superproducer Mustard is set to join them on the road as the first and only announced supporting act. And in case you’re wondering – yes, there are two back-to-back nights in Toronto this June.
When Jimmy Kimmel Live host Jimmy Kimmel playfully asked if she was nervous about a certain Toronto-based rapper showing up (ahem, Drake), SZA coolly played coy:
“Who knows who?” she joked.
