Mustard Unfollows Gordo Amid Kendrick vs. Drake Drama — And Gordo Responds

Looks like the Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake beef is starting to ripple through the inner circles of hip-hop — and producers aren’t exempt.

On Monday (April 14), Gordo, a frequent Drake collaborator, took to X (formerly Twitter) to point out that Mustard — who’s been riding hard for Kendrick — just unfollowed him on Instagram.

“omg just noticed mustard unfollowed me on ig…. Sad day… headlining chella must of got to his head,” Gordo wrote, clearly throwing some sarcastic shade.

The unfollow comes as no surprise, considering Mustard’s open alliance with Kendrick Lamar, especially after the fiery “Like That” collab with Future and Metro Boomin — the very track that lit the current feud on fire. Mustard not only produced Kendrick’s viral diss “Not Like Us”, but has also been using his live sets to make his stance crystal clear.

During Camp Flog Gnaw in November, Mustard trolled the crowd by pretending to play Drake’s “Crew Love”, only to shout “Sike!” and drop Kendrick’s “Like That” instead. He then kicked off his set with a haunting intro from The Sixth Sense that transitioned perfectly into Kendrick’s line, “Psst, I see dead people,” underscoring just how deep the shade goes.

The stage? A full-blown tribute to L.A. culture with visuals of Kendrick, Nipsey Hussle, Kobe Bryant, and the L.A. Dodgers — in case there was any confusion about where his loyalty lies.

Mustard’s issues with Drake aren’t exactly new either. In a 2023 interview with the L.A. Times, he made it clear: “I don’t think I want to make a song with that dude. He’s a strange guy.”

With Gordo firmly in Drake’s camp and Mustard standing beside Kendrick, it seems the battle lines have officially extended beyond the mic — and straight into the production.
