Rapper GloRilla is getting real about her recent health journey — and the surprising struggles that came with it. In a candid interview with BET, the “Tomorrow 2” hitmaker opened up about her month-long fast and the personal goals she set to improve her overall wellness. Among the biggest hurdles? Avoiding alcohol, especially while surrounded by party vibes and star-studded events.
“I probably say that drinking [was the hardest to avoid], but I’m not a drinker anyway. I don’t take shots unless it’s occasionally. I drink margaritas,” GloRilla explained. “I had a lot of stuff to do like the game events—All-Star Weekend and the Super Bowl. I had shows, and I couldn’t drink. I normally like to prep myself with a little drinky drink. But I couldn’t do that.”
As part of her fasting challenge, Glo committed to avoiding clubbing, reading a book, going to the gym at least three times a week, and generally cutting out distractions. She even invited fans to take part in the challenge with her — and said having others on the same journey made things a little easier.
“When everybody was around just drinking, I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I was trying to stay away from them,” she added.
Back in February, Glo also spoke to Complex’s Jordan Rose and admitted it was tough not to indulge when everyone around her was enjoying a drink. But the sacrifice is paying off. Her new toned physique has drawn attention online — along with a wave of BBL allegations that she’s since shut down in the most GloRilla way possible.
In a funny gym video, Glo addressed the rumors by jokingly revealing the real “shots” behind her glow-up:
“I didn’t get a BBL, but I did get some ‘discipline shots’… inserted right here and right here,” she said, pointing to her dimples. “They just flow all the way through my brain… and that’s how you gon’ get a fat ass. But I ain’t get no BBL.”
Whether it’s her bars, her hustle, or her hilarious clapbacks, Big Glo continues to inspire fans — proving that discipline, not surgery, can still get the job done.
