Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin is not letting up in her public feud with popular gospel singer Tope Alabi. In a fresh video shared online, Lizzy expressed her deep hurt and disappointment over what she described as a calculated humiliation by the gospel star.
According to Lizzy, her loyalty to Tope Alabi had run deep for years, so much so that she consciously avoided promoting fellow gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori on her social media, even though she has no personal issues with her.
“I don’t hate Yinka, but because of Sis Tope, I never played her songs. I didn’t go to an award event in Canada because it was Yinka who was performing, not Tope. That’s how loyal I was,” she explained.
Lizzy revealed that when Tope Alabi was being dragged online for allegedly barring her daughter’s father from her wedding, she publicly supported her by playing her song—even against the advice of her own team.
She also shared a receipt of her fans’ invitation to Tope Alabi’s team, revealing that the birthday appearance was fan-led and Tope knew in advance who she was being invited to surprise.
“My fans called her because they knew how much I love her. If she truly wasn’t enjoying the way people are mocking me now, she would’ve come out to speak,” Lizzy stated emotionally.
In a shocking twist, Lizzy accused Tope Alabi of betraying her despite her years of support. She claimed that the gospel singer humiliated her at her birthday party by refusing to perform—even after accepting the invitation and arriving at the venue.
“She humiliated me. I’m the one who should be ashamed of associating with her, considering her background in traditionalist circles. I never touched rituals to gain fame, but she did.”
Lizzy also reminded the public that she is a Muslim and didn’t even expect a gospel singer at her celebration. She clarified that it was never her idea to invite Tope Alabi, and she wouldn’t have spent her money on that.
“I didn’t call her, and I wouldn’t use my money to call her. My fans did it because of how much I used to love her.”
This latest outburst follows earlier reports that Tope Alabi refused to perform at Lizzy’s birthday party after realizing who the celebrant was. While neither Tope nor her camp has issued an official response, the drama between the two continues to stir heated reactions online.
